While there, performed in the 2010 TMEA 5A Honor Band, participated in UIL State Solo and Ensemble all 4 years, and won the Sudler National Soloist competition in 2011 for work in Rhapsody in Blue by Gershwin. After graduating, studied at Texas Tech University to major in Music Performance with a specialization in Horn under Chris Smith. Moved back to the Dallas area in 2016 to get married and settle down. Started working for Williamson Music 1 st in August of 2017 in the Plano location before moving into the Frisco store.

“Since starting here, I’ve fallen in love with both the ideology of the company and the way we get to interact with our customers. Having a repair shop in every location helps us maintain a sense of security for parents and students, because dents and stuff happen. Back when I was in high school, I always dreaded taking my instrument to the shop, thinking I wouldn’t see my instrument for a while. But here at WM1st I don’t have to worry about that. I even drop off my own personal instrument in our store!

One thing that I am glad to contribute in our store is my knowledge of different products ranging from books, basic maintenance supplies, reeds, mouthpieces, even instruments. Every day spent here is an opportunity to learn more about brass, woodwind, and string instruments from how they work to how to keep them in their best shape. I am always available to answer questions about anything musically, and if I don’t know the answer, I will make sure I know it the next time it is asked!”

After my tenure as a Sales Associate and my love for String instruments intensified I wanted to became an actual Luthier. After serious training I became a Luthier about a year ago.
